Montrose Park
The property was prominent private estate from 1804-1911. One of the earliest National Parks, this 16-acre park is federally owned and accessed via R St at 30th Street NW. It has playing fields, a playground, tennis courts, and miles of wonderful hiking trails—it’s also a popular sledding hill on snow days! The friends of Montrose Park are always welcoming new neighbors to volunteer and donate as well as attend their festive events!
