May 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

The Citizens Association of Georgetown in collaboration with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art – Washington Mid Atlantic Chapter and the L’Enfant Trust cordially invite you to a cocktail hour and presentation on

The Conversation Between the Generations
Tuesday, May 20
6:00 – 8:00 PM
The GeorgeTown Club
1530 Wisconsin Avenue NW

We are pleased to offer a unique program to answer specific questions for homeowners in Georgetown addressing issues pertaining to renovations of any scale. As custodians of a historic house, be it Georgian, Federal, Italianate, or any other style, there are always myriad problems to be solved from a regulatory as well as an esthetic point of view.

We will present a panel of experts from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art who will review the history of preservation in the neighborhood and some compelling topical issues. We are honored to have architect Christian Zapatka and designer Zoë Feldman joining us as presenters. Lauren McHale, President and CEO of the L’Enfant Trust will discuss its important work in addition to how that work relates to Georgetown. We will also address how to create a home that suits the owner yet is sympathetic to the concerns of the community.

Tickets are for $50 per person. Limited number of tickets available. Citizens Association of Georgetown members will have the first chance to buy tickets prior to being offered to the public. Ticket sales go live at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24. An email with the link to purchase tickets will be sent on Thursday morning.
