Katherine Hasty

Kate Hasty is the newly appointed Co-Chair of the Public Safety Committee. Kate is a U.S. Air Force veteran. She served on multiple combat deployments with a special operations team. More recently, she has served on the Air Staff and Joint Staff advising senior leaders on strategy and policy. Her background is in future warfare studies with a focus on space, cyber, and biotechnology. She has a BA from Harvard and an MA from Georgetown University. Currently, she is a legislative liaison. She has lived in Georgetown since 2015. She loves being a part of this incredible community and is dedicated to the public safety of our neighborhood.
